GATE BOOK CLUB 

GATE Book Club meets this week Thursday, October 4th in Room 42.  We will be discussing last month's novel, Kiss the Dust and introducing our October novel.  Bring your lunch and come join the conversation.

CENTENNIAL’S 1ST ACTIVITY NIGHT! 

The first activity night is coming up on 10/5/18 from 5:30-7:30.  

Fast passes will go on sale in the IMC starting Monday October 1st. 

You must have all your fees paid to attend!  

Please check with the office if you are in doubt.

BOYS BASKETBALL 

If you are interested in playing Boys Basketball  

Basketball Practice: Begins October 8th. 

Please make sure that you have all paperwork filled out and your basketball fee paid so that you can practice and play. 
8th Grade: boys basketball practice is every day at 4:00-5:30 PM  
7th Grade: boys basketball practice is every day at 6:30 - 8:00 AM.  

Even on Wednesday!!

CHOIR & BAND CONCERT 

Come join us for an evening of music at Centennial’s first Choir and Band Concert of the year.  October 9th at the Pavilion.  The Choir Concert starts at 6:00 pm and the Band Concert will follow at 7:15 pm.

ATHLETIC EVENTS 

All game schedules for sports are posted on the Centennial website at 

  http://ctms.mcsd.org/ under athletics. 

Football: Thursday, October 4th - Opponent Columbine at Columbine 

7th grade starts at 4:00 pm with 8th grade to follow. 

 

Cross Country:  Friday, October 5th in Cortez - 4:00 pm

AMERICANISM ESSAY CONTEST 

Every year the Fleet Reserve Association holds their essay contest.  This year’s theme is “What Freedom of Speech Means to Me” in 350 words or less.   There are 18 National Awards and Regional/Local Prizes with the Grand Prize being $5000 dollars.  You may pick up an entry form with contest rules in the front office or you may visit their website at: www.fra.org/essay  

The deadline to return entries to the school office is November 28, 2018.
