PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES NEXT WEEK 

Centennial will be having their Parent Teacher Conferences 

On Monday, October 15 & Tuesday, October 16 from 4:30 to 8:00 pm 

There will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of next week.

SKI CLUB 

Calling all skiers and snowboarders, Ski Club interest letters are at the office.   

All paperwork must be turned in by 10/22 at 3:00 pm.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS! 

Teacher of the Year nomination packets will be in the office starting Tuesday morning 10/2.  

The nominations are due first thing in the morning on, Monday, November 5th.   

These are available to share with staff, parents, community and students.

ATHLETIC EVENTS 

All game schedules for sports are posted on the Centennial website at 

  http://ctms.mcsd.org/ under athletics. 

 

BASKETBALL: Practice has already begun.  If you have not turned in all paperwork and payment you will not be able to practice.  Cutoff date is Friday, October 12th so get everything turned in quickly to receive your yellow slip to turn into the coach. 

Please Note: 

 There will be no evening practice on October 15th & 16th due to Parent Teacher Conferences.

SPORTS RESULTS 

 

CROSS COUNTRY: 

Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for taking 1st place in Cortez last Friday. The girls placed 3 in the top ten, Mia Duncan (4th), Kenzie Bush (5th) and Ellie Duncan (9th). The boys team placed 5 in the top ten, Jonas Graff (1st), Gadiel Castillo (2nd), Zach Morris (3rd), Elijah Echols (9th), and Aden Bugarin (10th). We would also like to congratulate the boys on their 3rd straight undefeated season!

AMERICANISM ESSAY CONTEST 

Every year the Fleet Reserve Association holds their essay contest.  This year’s theme is “What Freedom of Speech Means to Me” in 350 words or less.   There are 18 National Awards and Regional/Local Prizes with the Grand Prize being $5000 dollars.  You may pick up an entry form with contest rules in the front office or you may visit their website at: www.fra.org/essay  

The deadline to return entries to the school office is November 28, 2018.
